Good news and bad news about Freight in the City
The bad news is that this year’s Freight in the City Expo is another casualty of Covid-19. We are disappointed as we had pulled together a great seminar programme and a wide range of exhibitors with innovative products and services. We will be back at Alexandra Palace next year with a new date, so put the 28 September 2021 in your diary.
The good news is that we have some great alternative ways for you to keep in touch with what’s new in the urban distribution market. We are planning a Freight in the City Broadcast Week in February to take our seminar programme online. More details will be announced soon.
In the meantime we have been working with our colleagues at Commercial Motor to inject some urban distribution content into the Commercial Motor Show, an exciting virtual show. Held online over three days from 29 September to 1 October, this free-to-access show will give you access to hundreds of products, industry experts and networking opportunities from the comfort of your keyboard. The full seminar programme can be viewed here.
Registration is FREE so sign up today.

Last year's Freight in the City Expo attracted nearly 1,000 visitors interested in sustainable urban logistics. View the show highlights here. In addition to our show highlights you can also view videos from :

Mercedes-Benz Trucks on why mirrorless works for Mercedes and how an electric eCanter impresses in the city.
Renault Trucks on how it's zero emission range from 3.1 to 26 tonnes will help the municipal vehicle sector.
Tevva on how it wants to get more electric vehicles on the road, and how they plan to do it.

The 2019 Freight in the City event was Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer’s second year of exhibiting our Rental, Leasing and Contract Hire solutions for a ‘cleaner vehicle’ fleet. Our impression was of an event growing in importance and stature, with visitors deeply interested in what is moving rapidly from a ‘niche’ interest to a mainstream matter, as more and more local authorities invest in LEZ, ULEZ, Clean Air and other environmental strategies. We really enjoyed the day’s event and found ourselves to be extremely busy dealing with a number of enquiries and are already booking for 2020!
