Fleet Decarbonisation

Online Roadshow: Birmingham

In partnership with Volvo Trucks

Freight in the City hosted a free online roadshow to help HGV and van operators explore the route they need to take on their journey to decarbonise fleet movements.

The webinar was supported by Birmingham City Council, who shared its own decarbonisation strategy, and Volvo Trucks who brought vehicle technology to life for operators from drop-in biofuels and renewable natural gas, through to electric and hydrogen fuel cells.

The webinar also includes knowledge-sharing sessions from a strong line-up of industry speakers, from parcels giant DPD through to the BVRLA, Energy Saving Trust, Tyseley Energy Park and Zemo Partnership.

Ambition, policy and strategy

• Gloria Esposito, head of sustainability, Zemo Partnership: the government's route map for CVs to achieve zero-carbon emissions.

• David Horsfall, director, Tyseley Energy Park: the role of public-access refuelling and how this can help local firms trial cleaner fuels.
