Freight in the City makes exciting live return
Freight in the City Expo opened its doors to visitors once more at London’s Alexandra Palace on Tuesday 28 September. This exciting show, now in its sixth year, provided a showcase for the latest urban delivery vehicle technology and brought together leading logistics experts for topical debate.
A packed seminar programme provided a forum to debate the challenges and explore the opportunities that continue to emerge in the urban logistics sector. Click here to view the speaker presentations.
A bustling exhibition hall gave visitors the opportunity to get up close with a wide range of vehicles aimed at making goods deliveries into towns and cities a safer, more sustainable operation. A number of models also picked Freight in the City Expo to made their UK debuts, such as the launch of the brand-new 7.5-tonne Tevva battery electric truck, and an innovative last-mile product from If.Vehicles that enables delivery drivers to both drive it on the road and carry out pedestrian porterage.

The 2019 Freight in the City event was Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer’s second year of exhibiting our Rental, Leasing and Contract Hire solutions for a ‘cleaner vehicle’ fleet. Our impression was of an event growing in importance and stature, with visitors deeply interested in what is moving rapidly from a ‘niche’ interest to a mainstream matter, as more and more local authorities invest in LEZ, ULEZ, Clean Air and other environmental strategies. We really enjoyed the day’s event and found ourselves to be extremely busy dealing with a number of enquiries and are already booking for 2020!

It was a fantastic day for the Team. The quality of attendees and conversations we had were excellent. Unlike other Expo’s we have exhibited at there we no “tyre kickers” so it meant everyone you had a conversation with were either potential customers or just simply interested in your product, so no wasted conversations!
