Although Covid-19 meant last year’s Freight in the City Expo could not take place, we are excited to announce a new way to keep up to date with the latest topics in urban distribution.
If you are involved in delivering or receiving goods in towns and cities, then Freight in the City’s new webinar series is a must attend for you. Throughout 2021, you will get to hear from leading industry speakers covering a variety of topics to help you make urban deliveries cleaner, safer and quieter.
Our first broadcast, Driving innovation in urban freight, supported by Renault Trucks took place on Thursday 11 February and is now available to watch on demand. You’ll hear from Transport for London’s innovation team about the exciting freight trials underway in the capital, as well as learn about the latest developments in electric delivery vehicles from vehicle manufacturer Renault Trucks. Leading brewer Carlsberg also highlighted some of the steps they are taking to reduce the environmental impact of its fleet movements in and around urban areas.
Last year's Freight in the City Expo attracted nearly 1,000 visitors interested in sustainable urban logistics. View the show highlights here. In addition to our show highlights you can also view videos from :
Scania on its vision for a sustainable and safer future.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks on why mirrorless works for Mercedes and how an electric eCanter impresses in the city.
Renault Trucks on how it's zero emission range from 3.1 to 26 tonnes will help the municipal vehicle sector.
Tevva on how it wants to get more electric vehicles on the road, and how they plan to do it.
Volvo Trucks on the launch of Vera, Volvo's autonomous tractor unit and it's new electric FE truck.
The 2019 Freight in the City event was Dawsongroup Truck & Trailer’s second year of exhibiting our Rental, Leasing and Contract Hire solutions for a ‘cleaner vehicle’ fleet. Our impression was of an event growing in importance and stature, with visitors deeply interested in what is moving rapidly from a ‘niche’ interest to a mainstream matter, as more and more local authorities invest in LEZ, ULEZ, Clean Air and other environmental strategies. We really enjoyed the day’s event and found ourselves to be extremely busy dealing with a number of enquiries and are already booking for 2020!
